The Lindenbrooks Early Tales
The Shire of Boorford
The Shire was awash with half folk from Shires far and wide The Holkels, the Boggles, the Brandybucks, Swift Feet and even the rival Shoorfords, the melody of lutes and horns filled the air with a jambury, not a halfling could resist the tapping of feet or even daringly a wiggle here and there.
The festivities had however been overshadowed by a murmur of fear as the Dragons Tears streaked across the sky, the entire Shire had stopped to watch streaks of fire race across the heavens.
The tales of the Fall of Morpheus although centuries past were still recounted from all corners of the map, the tales of the Wizards folly in bringing a tear to earth, a tear that destroyed the fair city and cursed its region.
Still one thing could be said of the half folk they'd not let a little occurrence like the end of the world stop festivities and the moment the tears had passed they got right back to it.
