Hi all, just a few questions to help get the picture straight for me.
Divergence Points: Are they essentially the portals which link alternate realities together? I'm assuming that this is the case and that some have set points and some are very random; a la (dare I say it) Stargate and Time Bandits.
I'm thinking on how Podmore would probably map and record them. It would certainly prove a worthwhile profession for him.
Obviously this is why I'm after the Navigation skills and the deep pockets spell. Entering an unknown Divergence point could prove very bad if that reality didn't have for example oxygen or an atmosphere! It would be comforting to be able to pull out a repirator or oxygen mask. And coupled with a good measure of luck could also prove to be very useful and amusing too.
I think it fits in well with his explorer/researcher backgrounds.

Really liked the thinking approach that Reynolds and Otto have rather than guns blazing, enjoyed last night.
