As the pair run headlong into the tunnel, they become aware of the change, the earthen passage begins to become more and more metallic, with spring like systems embedded within the walls, the further they go the greater the density of embedded mechanisms.

Eventually they are standing within a immense series of cogs, as if within the inner workings of a giant clock.

Once again Drake senses that the materials from which the cogs are made is of an unearthly metal that dosen't respond to his magics.
Currently the cogs are immobile.

Make standard initiative rolls.

Magical power emanated from Francis Drake, a flurry of razor edged cogs scattered away from both him and Curren as an odd sphere made from a series of underpinned larger cogs hurtled down through the spaces between the giant mechanisms.

More followed, a cloud of the multi-edged stars forming a blizzard of blades, heading for the pair.

Curren's form becomes a blur, as he literally weaves in an out of the weapon stars, his armour shines almost blindingly bright, as he floats of the cog on which the pair stand.

Are they any normal metal things around here? Putting up a barrier wouldn't do much would it, as there are non-Frank metals...
Damn them.
While Curren does his thing, can Drake make a magic theory roll to see if he can 'tune' his magic to this metal? Maybe affect it in someway?
