It occured to the Soldiers of Light that examination of the lock-face, uncovered untold layers of perception, and layers of metaplanar reality, one atop the other.Drake wrote:Will do sir.Perception: 6 2 2 (1 hit)

Frank concentrated, his ability to Astrally Perceive only recently opened to the point of full visibility, as he concentrated he began to see ghostly patterns around each head mechanism.
As he pushed further the patterns revealed an echo, some older than others.

Is this revealing Curren's trick of the last used lever?arcanus wrote:As he pushed further the patterns revealed an echo, some older than others.
If so, the most recent lever would have the clearest pattern, as it would have been the freshest.
Drake will note the sequence of lever marks, starting with the freshest/brightest, and working back to the dullest.
"Y'know" he says to Curren, "I'm starting to see something along your dusty button line... These levers were last pulled in this order..." and Frank points out the levers to Curren.
"This one was used last, then this one, then this one... So we could pull them in that same order, or the reverse order. If the last time these were used they closed a door, then pulling them in reverse might open it? What do you think, Captain... Worth a shot?"

Curren nodded, or so Drake thought 'Well we've come this far and theres no going back'.
Marshalling his power the Gnome connected with the first lever, remembering the heiroglyph within the initial passages, he began to slowing move each of the levers in reverse sequence, as he did the revolution of the Lock-face became swifter, upon reaching the fifth sequence the Face began to realign, the geometric lines across its surface clicking open and then following a sequence of large sections of its mass sliding into new positions, revolving and reconnecting, with audible clicks.
This sequence forced the Soldiers of Light to move from piece to piece.
Incidentally within its maw was instead a door, its red brass surface reminiscent of an old SLR camera shutter mechanism.
To each side of the mouth, lay a large turn crank like handle.

Before long the entire face had changed, now forming the face of an emense Brass lion of victorian or georgian manufacture or forging, something akin to what would be seen upon an old London front door holding a knocker within its maw.Arcanus wrote:Make Magic+Charisma Rolls

If possible, we should make our way over to the maw-encased door, and nod to Curren to take up position at both crank like handles.Arcanus wrote:To each side of the mouth, lay a large turn crank like handle.
Slowly, they start to turn the handles.
