The Penumbra of Marylebone London
Part of Keat's proficiency in the Ars Spiritus was his ability to transit and control the medium of the penumbra, whereabouts it was not unheard of for Magisters of Hermes to learn the arts umbral they usually confined themselveds to the Astral Plane or higher umbra as the vulgar were want to describe it.
Although he had equal ability to ascend to the astral, the spirit realms of the natural world were more imprinted in the memory of the earth and stone rather than man, as such they were more impermeable and with the correct combination of the escoteric arts malleable, which is how he had crafted his domain.

Another advantage was stealth, the Imperium and many of polite society magi scorned the natural realms as a place of monsters and primative tribal practioners to the extent it was even difficult for them to access said realms via their own foundations and pillars.
This of course meant that the middle umbras shadow or the penumbra had far less of the troublesome Imperium watchers and with the appropriate caution he could move relatively unseen.

It was in the early hours that enshrouded with rituals and armed with his foci he set forth, his incantations drew the fabric of the realm around him, his hope that it would conceal him from any watchers and nature spirits that roamed the spirit echo of Marylebone.

The Imperium were the pillars of hypocracy, whilst decrying and attempting to erase the wonder of magic from the world and replace it with their twisted intepretation 'Enlightened Science' or rather magik concealed in science and technology, they broke their own creed and pillars, cheating by secretly retained orphan magi capable of wonderous magik within their ranks and in this way they could access places that their own calcified pillar barred them from.

He stopped and went still as a large scarecrow like figure omninously shuffled into view as they both reached a junction, of course the challenge with the echo of London was that due to the depravations of the Imperium, his own brethren and the enormous misery of the majority of Londons citizens the place was frequently tainted.

He also benefitted from there being no Straights limiting his magik or punishing him for its use, nether the less he remained still until it moved on.
He quickly made his way through the deserted shadowry streets, spirit flotsam billowed across the cobbled streets, the penumbra was a strange place, mans constructions appeared here as memories, but older more memorable buildings and monuments often held greater or longer lasting impression and so the echo was a mixture of facimilies of victorian london, pre-fire of London Carolian and even Roman buildings.

He reached Regents Park its echo a wild unruly place, it being a green space Mother Nature had ensured it remained a feral place, however for expedience he had little choice but to enter, it held the keystones he needed to reach his destination.
