The Black Bank - The Old Smoke - Etheria
The Old Smoke, the colloquial name for the Horizon Realm Etheria's version of London was a circular city split evenly down its middle from north to south by the River Tamesis.
The city was surrounded by an ancient Roman Wall, albiet it had only been forged from the raw matter of the realm a little over a century prior.
The original western half the city was the industrialised side, the seat of government and the Electrodyne Engineers domain, the larger half was now an expanse of mechanised urbanisation of Georgian and Victorian architectural style.
Despite the Engineers best efforts parts of the West side had declined becoming rookerys, rumour had it that the corruption was worming it way in from the outside.
The Eastern side was newer the Royal quarter, the province of high society, parks and urban gardens, the home of the arts although the theatres remained on the Western side in The Old Smokes Shaftesbury Avenue.
This was the home of Queen Britannica the Fey Queen and Etherias Changelings.
At the southern base of River Tamesis was The Black Bank, an island that split the river before it reached the Mor Udd sea.

Smoke and Mirrors
Smoke - The Etheria Horizon Realm.
On the fourth floor of 114 Parchment Street sat an oppulent office looking out over Sovereign Square, the room as woven from fine polished chestnut wood, polished brass and marbles. To the side of a large desk sat a difference engine which was clicking through its computations.
The double doors opened for the fifth time in the last hour, Emma Bauer grinded her teeth and refused to look up from a myriad of financial reports, assessments and projections from across the Tavy Corporation.
She said nothing just waiting before the intruder cleared his throat "What is it Debout!"
"Well so far I have identified 233 errors within the accounts and receipts" came the reply
"And are they significant or noteworthy?" she replied tersely
"Well no, but they are wrong and we will have to inform his Lordship, they must all be corrected and reported to the Tax Bureau"
With a degree of resignation Bauer looked up, the daughter of the esteemed Voltiac Engineer, Katrina Bauer she was unlike her mother not being blessed with the powers of Will Working.
That had never stopped Emma, being Enlightened she was aware of the greater tapestry, Horizon Realms and the supernatural.
None of this fazed her, in fact to Emma it just presented more opporunities, the same as her overcoming the stuffy old boys bias against women and frustating lack of suffrage even in Etheria.
Perhaps her coming from Switzerland afforded a stern discipline and coldly analystic mind or perhaps its was sheer stubborness, what ever the reason she had taken her exemplary schooling, trained herself to the highest proficiency and entered the world of business.
Regardless of her mothers disapproval she had finally secured the position of Business Manager for the Tavy Corporation assuming responsibility for over 75% of the estates business, in the past 3 years profits had increased at a healthy rate, his Lordship was happy.
With this in mind she had taken on her own Accountant to look at revenues and profits, Dumont came with glowing recommendations and indeed his analytic skills were nothing short of prodigious, it was just that he was so......
