The Tree on top of the Golden Mountain, The Highlands of Meng
Master Tails nodded "I represent neither the Beast nor Jade Courts as you know, however as per Ulthars pledge to the courts I agreed to be a guide to a Sentai of the Beast Court"
The three looked amongst themselves, the Cat waited until he had their attention once more
"She has been sent a city upon on the western circle of fire and the city if aflame, the Hungry Dead have descended and the Yang World is plagued by a growing storm"
"So what concern is this for us" said the Panther
"The Sentai is very capable, she bears heavens auspice, however she is an army of one"
"She has no assistance?" replied the Bear
The panther frowned "She is a Sentai her mission must be fulfilled, her number matters not!"
"Which is all very well apart from her mission has to be balanced with her Tribes Yava" replied Master Tails
The panther fixed him with a stern look "Yava, what breed is she?"
"Khan" he replied
The black werecat leaned back and sighed, the Fox and Bear looked at her, the Bagheera shifted back to her human form "Her Yava decrees that she destroy evil where-ever she finds it, it is her kinds sacred duty!"
The fox also shifted to the form of a young japanese woman, she looked puzzled "So what is the problem"
"Zhu Gin Kkoli is saying that due to what is happening in the circle of fire the Sentai is bound to face the evil no matter how great, irrespective of her mission" answered the Bagheera
The bear frowned "What does the Court have to say"
"It is not my place to ask" replied Master Tails
"Come Youdon the Court is beseiged by the humans war, the intrusion of the Sunlight people and its own fractious nature, we know the answer even though it would not come!"
The bear turned to Master Tails "So what would you ask?"
"That as Guardians you assign Kuraudodansā to monitor the Circle of Fire"
"Why Kuraudodansā?"
"The Emerald Court speaks of her knowledge of both arcane matters and the ways of humans, without offense my Lords you may both struggle with the latter" both the bear and panther shrugged their shoulders in concession
Kuraudodansā smiled "I'll do it, its sounds like fun"
Both the elder Guardians frowned, "Zhu Gin Kkoli allow us to consult upon this matter" replied the Bagheera and with that the pair retired upstairs

The Pung-eo Church, Saeuman Village - Hunters Point, San Francisco
Tranquil Mist watched as Bujo disappeared into the thick fog, she looked around watching the swirling vapour and listening, she soon picked up on shuffling noises and hissing up one of the streets leading north through the village.
Lady Moon would expect them to look after the fragile mortals so that is what she would do, if the lazy Dokkaebi wasn't prepared to do his job then she would, she marched into the mists encountering another pair of the clay corpses which she quickly destroyed with her dragon hands.

The village was laid out in some semblance of order, blocks of six buildings raised from the mud on posts, with a track running along the front of each row and to each side, between each of these blocks was a small square cross-road, reaching the next she breathed in and exhaled.
Her outward breath drawn from the ocean itself struck the wind with galeforce and froced the mist to retreat into the lanes, as she suspected its absence revealed loathsome creatures concealed, several mortals had been caught presumably trying to flee and snared in the mists.

Both the clay corpses and hopping monsters hungrily fed upon their desecrated remains, she felt her rage rise, one of the Jiang Shi noticing her and snarling a warning.
"Just die" she replied coldly, breathed in once again but this time releasing a jet of glowing blue fire, which swept across the square.
The damp sides of the buildings were charred black, the flames retreated back into her mouth and she watched as the creatures only remains those being motes of ash floated about the air.

As Moon considered Bujo's request both saw a bright flare of blue fire several streets to their east
"Little Dragon dealing with the Vermin" noted the Dokkaebi dryly.

Whilst the elders debated Tails noted the arrival, as did the Kitsune, he was not surprised to hear harsh rebuke and hot words as he signed, stood, stretched and wandered outside.

Bujo stood glaring at some guardian spirits daring them to try and stop him, Kuraudodansā sniffed the air and looked at the eligmatic siamese cat
"He stinks of dark chi"
"Yes although he does not ordinarily"
The Kitsune cleared her throat gaining the guardians attention, she nodded and they stepped back
Tails approached the Dokkaebi "What has occured"
Bujo signed and relayed the events and Moons request, Tails listened gravely by which time the Bear and the Panther had reappeared having ended their deliberations
"My Lords and Ladies, events are ahead of us we must depart, may I trouble you for your decision?"
The bear merely nodded to Kuraudodansā and after collecting her travelling things, the trio departed the he Tree on top of the Golden Mountain.

Saeuman Village - Hunters Point, San Francisco
The warrior watched as the Jiang-Shi hopped back, their jade pins forcing them to return like wretched hounds released to hunt fowl.

He watched the mist, his bone blades hung casually from his hands, drawn from his own half dead spirit flesh, he sensed the slightest of vibrations in the celestial mists taking a small circular step, that allowed him to turn and face the big wooden cart bearing a heavy iron cage.

He saw the old one crouched on its roof, a slight lean of his head, somewhat crane like as he noted the creature was blooded, deep rents ran through its coal black scaly hide, it snickered in response to his curiosity.
"Little half thing" it whispered, "A demon soul crawling back to the world into a half dead body, like a roach"

He didn't respond, many of his Wu would but thats what it wanted, it was twenty times older than any of its kin, more powerful than probably everyone here, yet something had hurt it, that was interesting.

He pointed his right bone sword towards its cage, the one thing it knew was that he would meet it in combat and for now it wasn't prepared to explore that outcome.

The Water Front, Saeuman Village - Hunters Point, San Francisco
"WHAT THE HELLS GOING ON!" a gruff slightly slurred voice stopped the farmers and their wives from their helping the villagers.
Timothy Swale turned to look at Nelson Peague, the local farmers guild master stood with a number of his guildsmen.
"WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE" came a shout back
"HELPIN THE FUCKIN SLANTS" glared Peague, "WE AIN'T GOT NO CALL TO BE MEDDLIN IN THEIR AFFAIRS" he said dismounting from his grateful horse and moving menacingly amongst the farmers and fisher folk
Swale turned and looked Peague in the eye "An what concern is it of the guild, out time is our own!"
"Is that right Mr Swale, that right indeed, course yer all up to date with your due's"
The younger farmer narrowed his eyes at the Guildsman "How come that sounds like something a Yankee would say"
Peague an overweight corpulent man, who despite the early hour was sweating profusely "How fuckin dare you, you little shit stick!"

Bujo crouched before Moon, his old human visage solemn, his eyes locked with the young girl, she was still, her breathing still heavy but despite the rage that burned so hot in her veins, she shook her head, the old man nodded and in turn shook his head to the young oriental woman stood near the back of the surviving fisherfolk.

"No tellin what you might catch from them" slurred Peague "Most of them ain't human, not pure bloods anyhow, spirit bloods or worse"
"THAT's ENOUGH MR PEAGUE" another raised voice cut through the scene
The Guildsman turned glaring until he set his eyes on a shorter man, wide brimmed hat, his men had given the newcomer a wide berth "Not those spirit bloods that you have to concern yourself with" said the man, his voice tinny, most around him looked warily at the slivers of copper and bronze that ran through the skin of the left side of his face.
Peague flinched having little to no Medicine of his own he was still able to feel the flare of light erupt in one of the farmers hands "A witch" he snarled
The illuminated hand belonging to a young brawny farmer, "S'all medicine" Swale said "We'll be back at the fields in an hour, we don't need you to tell us how to work our land!"

Peague looked around eyeballing the farming folk, then look with disgust at the Josin fisherfolk then stopped at the copper etched figure
"You can't be everywhere Constable, be seeing you!" the Guildsmen mounted up and rode back up the trail
"Goddam it Swale, now we got a weeks of hasslin and beatins" cussed one of his fellow farmers "An fer wot a group of slants"
Timothy Swale usually kept his business to himself but his blood was boiling, he hadn't felt his angry and this alive for well he couldn't rightly remember "WELL ORIN WHY DOTCHA SCURRY BACK TO YOUR HOLE AND FUCK YERSELF" he roared in the old farmers face
Orin looked stricken "Sor, sorry Tim, meant no offence"
"Just help them Orin, these folks already been through a nightmare"

Bujo looked at the motionless Moon, eyebrow raised and then turned to Tails
The cat finished licking his paw before returning the old mans look "Everyone has the beast deep down!"
