Number Four
The Base Design Point cost for this unit in its infant stage is/was: 420BP.
You have 780 BP left, so look at the above stats and what you want each tentacle to do/specialise in.
So is there a minimum level you want them to self govern themselves, a base armour, base speed to propell you with, base strength etc
Then does one have different strengths than the other, if I recall ones a weapon, one steals metal and so on?

That was the plan. The 4 tentacles reflect 4 areas of Franks own psyche, as he controls them, even subconsciously.Arcanus wrote:Then does one have different strengths than the other, if I recall ones a weapon, one steals metal and so on?
Tin-Tin:
The collector in Frank. This is the one that will try and collect metals to become part of The Monument, constantly on the look out for precious metals/ores/minerals/scrap metals. Does have some boundaries though, won't steal from innocents or do anything to get Frank into serious trouble, as Frank's conscience governs it's actions.
Wish List
Would be good to get metal detector fitted, chemical analyser or some kind of Ore Analysis tool.
Ferret:
The curious aspect of Mr Drake. If there's a dark hole, this one will look i n it. Will look around corners, in doorways, through windows, up trench-coats just to see what someone is carrying. Also the explorer, wants to go to new places.
Wish List
Be good to fit this tentacle with GPS, infra red camera, navigation software.
Capone:
The soldier within. Years of military training has instilled a certain level of combat awareness within Frank, and Capone is his hostile side. The first to attack or defend, the intimidator, and the strongest of the tentacles.
Wish List
Enhanced strength
Enhanced Reflexes
Some kind of offensive weapon, eg mini laser/welder
Claws are sharpened and can be used as knives, or closed up to use for pure blunt force trauma
Number Four (Currently Out Of Action):
This is the scientific, methodical, logical side to Frank. Won't act on it's own, will follow instructions to the letter, will record and categorise things.
Wish List
Various cameras, still and video, voice recorder
Repair skills, basic first aid skills,
wi-fi access with on board memory
Possible skill chip slot? Wikipedia downloaded onto memory?

Total Build Points: 5365,
So the total financial cost would have been 420 + 5365 x 0.25 =Y40'000 (For sensors, Auto-Softs & Weapons) = Y63'140.
Happy for this to be accomodated by his Downtime of 3 years (He wasn't doing alot else apart from building a big metal ball

Max, can you remind me what Franky is able to do with his current talismongering, enchanting and quickening skills?
I know he can lock a spell into an object to create a one shot fetish, but what else can he do?
What about creating spell foci, they add dice to the drain/sorcery rolls don't they?
(I'm a little rusty on the whole Shadowrun foci thing...)

Talismongering allows him to find materials suitable for enchantment.Drake wrote:Max, can you remind me what Franky is able to do with his current talismongering, enchanting and quickening skills?

Alchemy allows him to transform the above gathered materials into magical radicals which assist in artificing.
If he has artificing this allows him to construct full blown magical items.
Quickening is a Metatalent which allows him to make astral constructs that sustain spells without the need for enchantment.
Spell Foci do add dice to any magical operation regarding a spell, there's two types spell category foci which aid a whole group of spells (combat, detection, manipulation etc) or specific spell foci which assist only one spell and take considerably less karma to make.

I see, thanks for reminding me... Think making magical items could be something to work on as he hasn't done it much.
In order to affect a spirit, a bullet needs to be magical doesn't it?
How easy would it be for Drake to quicken a very simple levitate spell into a bullet? And would that bullet then be able to affect spirits?

It would be fairly easy although expensive, and would only levitate the spirit.Drake wrote:How easy would it be for Drake to quicken a very simple levitate spell into a bullet? And would that bullet then be able to affect spirits?
Average Quickening costs around 5 Karma, so for a single use weapon.
Considering his abilities wouldn't something along the lines of an Orichalcum bladed disc not be better, able to affect a spirit by virtue of attacking its innate vulnerabilities
