All of the towers appear to be made of some form of base metal.

'Well,' Curren starts as he swallows back the bile that has risen with the cylinder trip and looks with trepidation at the insectoids.
'It is as far as I can tell, a spirit name quest for Gagglepuss.' the englishmen sits down inside the cylinder shaking his head to focus himself.
'Every spirit has a true name, but its a name that the spirit will guard very jealously and with extreme aggression.'
'If we can find its true name, we can hold it to a bargain or in some instances bind it to us.' Curren stands rubbing his eyes as the green tinge leaves his face.
'But this is going to be very dangerous.' he breathes out heavily.
'Perhaps I have made the wrong choice in activating this quest, but I had no choice. It was either this or a chronic case of death for the families and me.'
'Now we could maybe mask ourselves to get through here, or we could do one whilst we have the chance?' Curren jokes as he knows there is no going back now.

Curren starts in realisation, and stares at Drake.
'Did you strike any bargain with Gagglewotsit?' he says suspiciously as he strides up to him. 'You seemed awfully pally with it back along!'

Drake seems a little preoccupied, turning Malthalamus Curren watches as the vaguely humanoid insectoids move on a three dimensional basis.
Taking in the surroundings you see that the metal seems to be a metallic secretion.
While the creatures do not seem to have noticed the the travellers, Curren gains a definately territorial vibe from them.

Would my Sense Hive mind be detected by these spirits?
Is it feasable? We should be able to simulate thier movements also?
I was going to attempt to use it and then form some sort of amplifier which would somehow replicate their thoughts out from us making us almost like one of the hive.Magic Theory of 9 5 5 5 2 2 1 1 1 1 4 Hits

"Gagglewotsit?" Frank replies, coming out of his daydream, "No idea. No. no." he lies.
The very edge of Curren's eyebrow starts to rise in an skeptical manner, and Frank breaks. He never paid attention in the "How to Manage an Interrogation" lessons.
"Alright! Yes! I might have something vaguely losely tied to this thingm if this thing is that massive great twisting writhing mass of lovely organic spiritual wire that appeared back in the pyramid! Y'see, when the flamin salamander appeared it took on a bug spirit. To help it out I gave it a boost of karmic energy, which helped it beat the bug. Then this magnificent metal monster appeared and took on a bug. I might have also given it a boost of energy too.... Anyway. After we left the CZ I went on a meta-quest. The salamander told me that there were 2 astral forms with him which had lost their bodies. One, a woman, had a very faint astral link to her body, and the other, a man, had none. His body had died. I went on a meta-quest to help this woman back to her body, but I got a bit stuck, see, so I summoned that massive salamander to ask for help. The karma that I gave him made a sort of... link."
As Drake paused to draw breath Curren sighed, not expecting such a long confession as this!
"So anyway, after that quest we ended up in Denver, or Colorado or LA or somewhere, and I got a little bored.... So... started playing with a ball of barbed wire. Spinning it around me, stuff like that, and was thinking about perhaps maybe summoning that big... twisting... ball... thing. I think perhaps maybe it heard me... maybe because of this karmic link thing... and it brought me here."

An emense vibration shook the cavern, the shockwave large enough to topple the diminutive Drake off his perch, Curren staggered.
As they steadied themselves, the cavern roof gave in, something very large crashed down into the towers, producing a horrendous whine and twisting of metal.
The almost palatable pain could be felt from the metal, the pair then watched in horror as the mass of rubble started to move as if something below it were attempting to get up.
