Your expertise tells you that it is some form of composite key.Drake wrote: What kind of key goes in here?

Curren thinks back to all of the cogs that were chasing both him and Frank around the place.
I will go around and gather all of the cogs (that are now inert) to myself and look at them.
Does it seem that the cogs etc were almost like jigsaw puzzle peices, and if so I is it feasable that the cogs could be formed into a servicable key?
Magic Theory and Logic of 11 9 9 7 5 4 4 3 3 1 6 successes.

The Gear or Cog system will not assemble the required Key, in frustration both Malthalamus and Frank looked about independently.Drake wrote:6 inches is plenty wide enough for an 18 inch high man to float through, so he does.
Frank has to squeeze his dreadlocks through but easily manages to stand in the keyhole, examining the mechanism inside.
There are 2 kinds of key used in a clock.
One key is very simple in and is used to wind the clock up, the other key is more elaborate used to unlock a door.
The winding key simply attachs to a shaft, and acts as a lever which is twisted.
The unlocking key is designed to lift a series of tumblers into a position which will allow the key to be twisted.

What kind of key goes in here?
Momentarily Frank found himself nauseous as the collosal lock construct rotated within its orbit, resembling some emense space station or orbital habitat as portrayed by an abstract painter.
It occures to Frank that a hidden truth lies just beyond Franks awareness.

Could this clock actually be something else, some kind of machine with other purposes?
Frank will think along those lines for a second, and first think of this machine as a recording device, or knowledge-bank. Could the various arrangements of cogs etc actually be an alien library?
The other though was that this is perhaps an inter-dimensional device, through which the Gagglepuss crossed into our realm from it's own.
Could this machine be an alien library or a dimensional gateway?

(Not sure if I've got Franks character sheet to hand, i'll have a look, if not do you have a digital version?)

The concept of a gateway was one that fitted with the whole lock, however the conundrum still came full circle to how to open the lock.Drake wrote:Could this machine be an alien library or a dimensional gateway?
As Drake considered this he noticed how quiet his Order Companion and Friend was, he also noticed ribbons of ethereal energy drifting past the construst, once again Drake fought of giddiness as the brass mountain made a further orbital pass.
