Is it possible to conjure here?
Yes in the sense of calling spirits of the Air.

I will attempt to contact a denizen of the region (an element of air). I wish to speak to it but not to summon it.
There could be a gatekeeper of sorts around here.
Conjuring using two dice of my astral pool (if it still exists).
8, 5, 3, 3.
What target numbers do I need to resist?

A cloud of what appears to be millions of minature cogs swirls from the ether, each a colbalt blue, Curren can't but help but allow his left eyebrow to twitch in seeing the time piece air spirit swirl onto the construct.

Its voice like windchimes, not words more sounds floating upon the air currents, Drake regards the elemental with curiosity.

I'll invest 2 astral pool dice, ten dice to play with.

11 7 5 5 4 3 3 3

A light stun by my reckoning?

The Spirit waits quietly, apart from the chime of its azure parts.
You steady yourself as the construct completes another pass.[/quote]

Waves of fatigue course through Currens body, as his magical exertions are given shape.

'I can't take match more of this' he thinks with worry.

Rather than communicating with this spirit verbally, Curren draws his swords and uses them to tap the individual cogs that make up the spirit; creating a stacatto beat that fluctuates in speed and rhythm.

<Tell me about this rooms purpose spirit> his percussion voice asks respectfully.

Drake rests his hand upon his friends shoulder, noticing him sag a little.
The spirits tune is welcomed, as it chimes it reply.
It replies that Mount Chronos is the Threshold of the Citedal of Gears, that in order to pass the horizen travellers must see the true workings around them and therefore identify the key.
However the Air Elemental warns passing beyond the horizen is a perilous path and should be considered wisely.

Curren acknowledges and thanks the spirit by changing the tempo accordingly.
How and where are all the gears and cogs situated whilst I am communicating with the spirit?

Both really. Do they connect in any way?
I'm coming to the conclusion the spirit may be the key itself.
