Its along the Lay Preacher or Acolyte route, the Mundane Order member attends any and all meetings/gatherings, undertakes/observes all Strictures and group tasks etc etc
Most Importantly the Mundane Order Member must invest karma into the Orders Avatar and Linkage.

In return they get the following, depending on the the amount of Karma they agree to invest (Regularly), they are denoted as either an Acolyte or Initiate.
Acolyte:Invest a modest sum at least monthly (Usually Lunar cycle or anniversary), they have access to base level magical benefits, group skills and/or powers, this works by them getting a virtual 'Magic Point', and this plus their Essence Rating governs the full effect of any abilities, however this remains static with no improvement.
Initiate:This requires a higher investment per month or more frequent contributions per months (As the Avatar has to work harder to maintain this).
This gives the Mundane Order Member access to escalating abilities, they gain the ability to have Virtual Initiate Levels, a greater number of powers, access to MetaTalents, which improve as they Initiate.

So quite beneficial

The game will resume six months after the SCIRE events in late July 2061.
Due to his downtime you have 20 Karma to spend on one of your characters, this cannot be split between characters.

Yes it can be spent on Initiation/Submersion or talents, as long as a sufficient backstory is posted on the Arcanepath.

Finally it can be used as Karma for Cash to facilitate any work that the characters may have undertaken within the 6 months or they could have had some time off
