The Chronicles of Sebastian J. Reynolds
The Queens Aerodrome - Perth, Scotland
The soldiers and aircrew of the Highland Blackwatch hurried from their barracks, Zep gunships floated aloft whilst the cruiser HMS Blake hovered 400 meters above the airfield.
Captain Oxane watched as the NCOs sheparded their charges into the ships, satisfied all was in in order he marched toward his craft, nodded to the pilot and held on as the Zeps scope aperture opened flooding its cell with ether and expediently sending them skyward.
***
Near Dunkeld
Sam's eye's widened as the red flashes throughout the clouds coelesced into spears of fire "SHITTING HELL" he roared as he pitched the Shuttle sharply to port and rolled, around them the sky was an inferno. Sam wasn't an overly religeous man however he closed his eyes and preyed.
The ship was fiercely buffeted but upon opening his eyes Sam found that they were intact, he'd heard several dozen impacts the etheric weaponry aimed at them easily capable of disintegrating any zep, but they were relatively unscathed by all appearances.
Sam raised an eyebrow, his solemn gunner said nothing.
His attention was drawn back to the battle, their ship was buffeted as something exploded through the neighbouring cloudbanks, tearing across the sky and striking the enemy vessel above.

Re: The Chronicles of Sebastian J. Reynolds
Reynolds eased himself up, keeping low and cautious for the moment. Again, his keen eyes picked out The old man and his companion.
Slapping the dial to activate the armour the alluring Lady Magnos gave him, he surged into a sprint, arcing around the scrubland and the huge rent in the earth courtesy of Sam.
He darted over a fern covered ridge unaware that he was suddenly silhouetted against a cloudy sky suddenly lit red by the battle above.
“McMasters!” He called as loud as he dare but the sound was drowned by a tremendous boom like thunder from the sky that echoed off the valley walls.

Re: The Chronicles of Sebastian J. Reynolds
Reynolds guardian angel struck again, he glanced skyward as several spears of turquoise energy descended like gods wrath their impact with the Highland moors leaving smoking craters.
A nearby impact threw him sideways and in doing so avoided the downward impact of an armoured assailant who had sought to crush Reynolds.
Springing back to his feet he saw his would be murderer climb back to his feet and turn to regard him.

Re: The Chronicles of Sebastian J. Reynolds
Reynolds made a show of dusting himself off while saying rather loudly, “Well, that was rude!”
He guessed now was as good a time as any to test Magnos’ gift and activated the button on his belt.
He also very quickly scanned the surroundings for the most uneven, unsteady or most precarious ground he could spot and darted in that direction.
10 out of 21 for perception to spot the dodgy ground.
11 out of 17 for agility to get there.

Re: The Chronicles of Sebastian J. Reynolds
In the midst of the smoke and bedlam Reynold's quickly spotted a trench rent in the moorland, over which was suspended a toppled tree.
His would be attacker seemed a little taken aback by the lack of regard that Lord Roborough paid him or her, instead the spritely Lord took off at a pace, bounding over the intervening terrain and vaulted onto the tree.
