Curren snarled against the burning pain, concentrating he wielded his growing Metamantic knowledge and wove protective spells into his faltering armour and around himself. His armour flaking and glowing in patches shimmered as the spells knitted their way across its surface bolstering it whilst a field pushed out from the sorceror, angry plumes of red heat and flaming ask swirled around the physical barrier.

Curren took a breath of hot air and focused on his surroundings.

Having made it no more than a few steps down the slope, Aloysius Geffen stopped noting the pulse of power, he waited momentarily allowing himself to sense the currents, as he did so he felt the pulse settle 'Interesting' he thought as he stiffly turned the bulk of his suit around and trudged back to the top, bringing his telescope back up to his visor.

The figure was now surrounded by a barrier, not that the barrier would hold for long however it was the crafting below that drew Aloyius' attention
